E = ethylene propylene diene rubber (EPDM)

P = Nitrile butadiene rubber (NBR)

V = Fluorocarbon rubber (FKM, FPM or Viton)

Application :

Figure 1 Place the test specimen on a hard surface and place the elastomer tester vertically on the test specimen. Guide the impact body (bolt in the tube) on the pin until it reaches the upper stop.

Figure 2 Release the pin and observe and read the springback height (V, P or E). The heights may vary slightly between different manufacturers, batches and co-pounds.
